To all my left handed friends, I know golf manufacturers often overlook you and only produce clubs for your needs as an afterthought. That’s why I wanted to review the best left handed drivers, and give you a list of great options to choose from.
For the longest time, it was a difficult task to find left handed clubs at all. Over the last decade or so, that has begun to change, but it can still be a challenge to find just what you’re looking for. My goal is to guide you on your journey to find your new favorite golf club, and hit more fairways than ever before!

Why Is It So Hard To Find Drivers For Left Handed Golfers?
I know that finding left handed golf clubs is a pain. Most golf equipment stores don’t have more than one or two left handed options, and they are typically not the right shaft! But why? Why does it feel like finding a driver you can actually hit well and rely upon requires a treasure map and a stroke of luck? Why do you seem to have more luck in the “pre-owned” section than anywhere else in the golf world?
As with most things in life, the short answer is money. About 6% of all golfers are left handed, which means that the market is 94% right handers. As business goes, focusing on that proportion of potential customers is a no-brainer, but that’s no help to a lefty.
In order to make your life easier and streamline your search for your new favorite golf club, I have taken a deep dive into drivers for left handed golfers and now bring you the information and reviews of everything I found out.

As with any other club review I conduct, my reviews are based on looks, feel, forgiveness, and overall performance. The drivers on this list are all great golf clubs that each provide a slightly different experience within those parameters.
Best Overall: Taylormade Stealth 2 HD
It makes sense that the best driver on the market right now is also the best for left handed golfers.
Taylormade really has produced their crowning achievement with the Stealth 2 HD. Between the forward thinking technology that allows you to adjust, minimizes the difference on mishits versus solid strikes, and creates more ball speed of the face, as well as a sleek but modern look, this driver is the whole package.
The downside is that Taylormade continues to drive the price of their golf clubs through the roof. So if you want the best in the market, you will pay the highest price.

No matter which side of the golf ball you stand on, Taylormade has a reputation for a reason.
The Stealth 2 HD provides the most put together experience combining a great look, new technology, and incredible results you can possibly find. My testing showed that this driver provides the higher launch angles and low spin required for optimal drives.

Runner Up:
Callaway Paradym
Ever since the original Great Big Bertha, Callaway has had its hat in the ring as one of the best producers of drivers in the golf space.
The new Paradym advances that reputation. I love the name of the driver because it truly shifts the paradigm in what a driver should be. Jailbreak technology and a composite driver head allow for redistributed weight and extremely high moment of inertia. This all translates to more forgiveness, which means more ball speed on off center hits.
Put that together with a visually stunning color scheme and head design that sounds amazing and launches the ball into orbit, and you have a driver that changes the game.

My first reaction to the Paradym was one word - wow. It looks amazing, feels great, and it just as fast and forgiving as any other driver out there, higher launch and low spin.

The reason I have it on this list as the runner up is because it is unproven. Some of the technology in the Paradym is simply too new and too unique to know whether it will hold up over time. With that said, this driver has the potential to be a universal game changer.

Staff Favorite:
Taylormade Sim 2 Max
Back to Taylormade we go with the Sim 2 Max. This driver is 2 generations older than the best overall driver on our list, but it makes the list for one simple reason - it performs.
Taylormade seems to always be a step ahead of its competitors when it comes to new technology in the driver space, and they took a leap with the Sim 2 family.
The Max offers a large driver head, high forgiveness, and adjustability to personalize your driver to your game. It combines classic pieces of tech with forward thinking designs that make it faster and more forgiving than ever, and still outperforms the latest models from some other manufacturer. In short, it's a top tier driver at a mid tier price.

While you won't get a driver with all the newest research and development built into it with the Sim 2 Max, you will find that it looks, feels, and performs better than almost any other driver you can find. And the cherry on top is that, given that it is a couple of generations older, you won't pay top dollar for a highly desirable golf club.
It should be noted for this and some other drivers that the number in the name of the club is different that the numbers on golf clubs which identify them. All drivers are considered to be 1 woods, the number 2 here refers to the second generation of Sim drivers.
Best For Beginners: Callaway Big Bertha B21 Driver
Do you recognize the "B21" in the name of this Callaway stalwart? It is also the name of an airplane known as a "bomber". I see you, Callaway.
The Big Bertha B21 is a highly forgiving driver with a big head and even bigger speed. Beginning golfers will love the way the ball flies, almost independent of the strike location on the face.
The black, blue, and red color scheme of the driver looks great, and the adjustable hosel makes it easy to adjust to whatever your specific needs may be. If you want to hit longer, straighter drives without spending hours on the driving range, this driver might help you.

What can I say? It looks great, feels amazing, and the ball jumps off the face. And the driver is literally named after a B21 bomber that is the most feared aircraft in the world. That gives you a bit of extra swagger walking to the first tee.
Put all of that in to a driver that costs only 50-60% of some of the more sought after clubs on the market, and it seems like a no brainer!
Another Great Option For Beginners: Callaway Epic Max
It should come as no surprise that Callaway drivers are found to be the best drivers for beginner golfers. What I love most about the brand is their awareness that not everyone tees it up with the hopes of shooting 65 in an 18 hole round. They make options for the everyday golfer too.
The Epic Max falls into a similar category to the Taylormade Sim 2 Max. It is not the newest model, but it is highly advanced, reliable, and more affordable than its newer counterparts.
This driver features a more primitive version of Callaway's jailbreak technology that will help you hit more fairways. Its lightweight design and masterful weight distribution will help you maximize your speed and optimize your launch, meaning longer drives!

Let me be clear - new isn't always better! Especially for those who don't have the experience to be extremely precise with the feel and performance they prefer, drivers that are a couple of models older and have been proven effective are usually the better option.
Rather than spending $600 or more on a club, you can purchase this extremely high performance club for a fraction of the price, and then use the remaining budget for lessons to learn how to use you new Epic Max more effectively!
Best For A Slice: Performance Golf SF1 Driver
Every golfer, at some point in their life, has struggled with a slice. It is aggravating, ugly, and usually shows up at the worst possible time. So here is a driver that will help you straighten out that banana balland give you a neutral ball flight, maybe even a draw.

I am a proponent of using the golf club that lets you have the most fun. If that means you have to get something with a draw bias because you just can't seem to shake the slice, then have at it!

The Performance Golf SF1 is far and away the best driver I have found that helps keep the ball from going right. The only warning I will give is that, as you improve your game, this driver could start to produce a hook. That said, I am confident that you will love it immediately when you put it into your bag.

Best Cheap Left Handed Driver For A Slice: PGX Offset Golf Driver
As always, I like to include a budget option in my review lists. I understand that there are golfers out there who either don't have the funds for a driver costing $600 or more, or simply don't play enough golf to justify that kind of spending.
In my searching and testing of golf drivers for left handers, I have always been very pleased with the balance of performance and cost that comes from PGX (not to be confused with PXG). While you are not going to get a driver with adjustability, or top of the line aesthetics, or even the best sound, PGX produces good results that you can rely on day after day.
Their Offset Driver is simple and modest, but effective. And if you're on the fence because of my honesty in telling you it's not the best driver in the world, you should really go check the price. I think that will change some things in your mind.

It may seem weird to include a driver on the list of "best" that isn't Taylormade, Callaway, or another brand like that, but the price on the PGX justifies it as our budget option.
At around 10% of the cost of a premium driver, it becomes a bit easier to sacrifice some of the bells and whistles knowing you are still getting a driver that is well built, and will help you hit better drives almost immediately.
If you're on a tight budget and you want something reliable, give the PGX Offset Golf Driver a try.
Best For Women: Callaway Big Bertha REVA Women's Driver
Don't worry ladies, I haven't forgotten about you. Knowing how difficult it is for any left handed golfer to find a good driver, I also understand that it is even harder for a left hander who happens to be a woman.
With that said, I present to you the Callaway Big Bertha REVA Women's Driver. This driver is built with forgiveness in mind. A high stretch XL face provides a wider sweet spot that, when combined with jailbreak technology, creates an incredibly easy to hit club.
It features a generous profile and subdued colors that make for an aesthetically pleasing appearance, and is one of the easiest drivers on the market to create a high launch thanks to an elongated head design intended to move the center of gravity back.

It is common knowledge that, on average, women have lower club head speeds than men. That is why the REVA is designed to help launch that ball higher and be more forgiving than the average driver.
This is a driver designed for players who could use a little extra help to maximize their carry distance, whether or not they hit it solid. The REVA is well built, reliable, and forward thinking. It checks all of our boxes for a high quality women's driver.

Used Drivers For Left Handed Golfers
If you are interested in shopping for used golf drivers that might meet the criteria you are looking for, I have included the shortcut below to get you started. This section comes with a warning, however:
Used golf clubs have a significantly lower value because of the wear and tear they experience with their previous owner. Without knowing the changes that have been made to the club, or the amount and type of use it has received, there is no way to guarantee the quality or functionality of the club.
With this warning in mind, I wish you happy shopping and encourage that you consider new options before turning to the used market. I firmly believe that your experience will be better from beginning to end if you splurge on a brand new club for yourself.
