I’ve had the opportunity over the last couple of months to experiment with the GolfForever training system. This is the new golf workout training program that is figure-headed by Scottie Scheffler and other PGA Tour players. It is quickly becoming popular among both high level players and amateurs. I wanted to bring you a GolfForever review to detail everything I like and talk about some of the things I feel could be better with the system.

Why Trust Me?

Since I was 12 years old, I have been participating in golf specific training with the goal of being a professional golfer in mind. I have worked with certified TPI instructors for hundreds of hours, and worked to understand what makes a good workout for golf.

I like to believe that my dedication to my fitness has shown through things like my speed and flexibility, stamina on the golf course, and my almost complete lack of injuries despite years of relentless work.

I have tried different styles of working out. From high weight, low rep strength training to zero equipment calisthenics to the use of resistance bands and medicine balls, there is not a piece of equipment that I am not familiar with. That includes the GolfForever swing trainer.

What You Get - GolfForever Components

GolfForever Swing Training System

If you are used to flimsy training aids, you are going to be pleasantly surprised when experience the GolfForever training system.

When you open the box, you’ll see a nylon carrying bag with a zipper all the way up one side. This is where all of the components of your GolfForever are kept and makes them extremely easy to carry. My only complaint is that the handle is positioned where the carrying case feels a little out of balance in my hand.

The first piece of equipment is the actual training bar itself. This is about a 4 foot long metal bar with rubber, textured handle pieces. On one end there is an anchor for the carabiners on the bands as well as an attachment point for the weighted warm up balls. The other end is bare of any features. On the shaft of the bar are labels for G1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. These will be used by the instructors in the GolfForever designed workouts to help you maximize your work.

Also in the carrying bag are two elastic bands labeled light and medium. These will be key components to most GolfForever workouts

Finally, there is a gray and a green foam ball that can be attached to the end of the training bar. These are different weights and can be used to transform the training bar into a stretching stick, weighted club, and a few other functions. They click into place very easily and add lots of functions to the whole system

The GolfForever training program is not just a swing trainer like the Lag Shot, or the Straight Stick, it is a complete system that can be used to workout, to stretch and even for pre round warm ups.

GolfForever App Review

GolfForever App Homepage

The GolfForever app is not just another fitness app. Let's dive into the features.

It is user friendly, contains an incredible amount of content, including training videos, and even involves a scoring system that allows you to compete against yourself and a standard (kind of like golf) to constantly improve your golf fitness.

My favorite aspect of the GolfForever app is the personalized workout that will be produced for you every day. Each workout will include a dynamic warm up followed by a full workout intended to work on your strength, mobility, rotational power and explosiveness. Your workouts will be based on a fitness assessment from answers to some questions presented to you when you first create an account based on your experience level and goals. They will progress as you complete them to accommodate your increasing fitness.

Aside from your personalized workouts, you will have full access to GolfForever’s entire workout library that includes everything from at home, no equipment workouts to golf yoga to speed training and high intensity exercise specific to the Golf Forever program. All of these workouts ensure that you never get bored and can always challenge yourself, regardless of your skill and fitness levels.

You might be wondering, what’s the catch?

Well, the membership that grants you access to the app is not cheap. You can either pay by the month at $24.99 or $200 for an annual subscription. If you ask me, it is worth every penny, especially once you know that $10 from your purchase goes towards supporting veterans and their families! If you move better and reduce your risk of injury through the use of the program, you’re likely to benefit immeasurably more than if you spend the same amount of money on a new driver, or even golf lessons!

A Golf Forever Workout

Using Golf Forever to warm up before a round

Let me tell you a short story.

As someone who has spent years trying to get into better golf shape, I began my GolfForever journey skeptically. I thought that I might feel a little bit of fatigue but it wouldn’t be worth the time longer term.

I went into my first workout intending to use the GolfForever system as a dynamic workout for my normal routine. I would do the guided workout and then transition into my lift. After 42 minutes of GolfForever, I was completely exhausted and didn’t have the energy to continue on to my normal workout.

I woke up the next morning with soreness in some muscles that I forgot I had, and now I use GolfForever for both warming up at the golf course and supplementing my time in the gym almost every day!

The point of the story is simple. I know that the GolfForever training system sounds like a money grab, but the reality is that it’s a new way to work out for golf. It is friendly for golfers of all fitness levels, and is being trusted by tour pros and weekend warriors alike. I am confident that, if you give it a real chance, you will become a better version of yourself both on the golf course and in your daily life by using the GolfForever program.

GolfForever can be used as a stretching stick

Pros

  • You can use the GolfForever system anywhere. From the gym to the driving range to your living room, you can always work on your golf fitness
  • GolfForever is really easy to use. Setup requires minimum labor and all of the pieces are intuitive
  • There are workouts designed for people of all fitness and skill levels included in the app
  • Workouts don't only focus on speed training. They also help with rotational power and injury prevention
  • It is excellent for pre round warmups

Cons

  • The app is a bit pricey, but once you learn how to use the GolfForever swing trainer, the app is no longer a necessity

Final Thoughts

Fitness is an important part of playing golf at any age, but it can be hard to get started on a golf fitness journey. Golf Forever is a revolution in the way golfers workout. It challenges both your strength and your stability through a variety of movements that translate into the golf swing. The app includes workouts using the equipment provided by GolfForever as well as some that don’t require any equipment at all, meaning it’s possible for you to get a workout anywhere, anytime.

I love to workout. I love to see how my work in the gym benefits my golf. Over the last 6 months of using GolfForever system for my daily workout, my body feels better than ever, my golf swing feels strong and stable, I have been able to increase my swing speed, and I have been able to reduce some of the aches and pains that I used to think were normal.

The best part of GolfForever is how easy it is to use. I am confident that you will love it just as much as I do, if only you give it a try and use it to improve your golf game!
